Topshop's 214 magazine...

I was in London today and had the opportunity to pick up the new A/W 11 issue of Topshops 214 magazine. I have to say it didn't excite me as much as i thought it would. Usually it has some really creative pages like still live shoots in exciting ways but this time it was mainly 2D and quite basic.
It's a magazine i'd always love to work on, but this time round it has slightly disappointed me! The shoots however do look strong but there's something not so inspiring about it this time.

It's the little things...

I love when you have those moments where everything feels dreamy and you actually feel your head is in a little lovely bubble. Those moments are rare these days, with a 9 to 5 office job listening to stroppy customers the little things in life are becoming more significant, i treasure my weekends, i love breakfast, moments to myself having a cup of tea become a little delightful, Sunday evenings sat on the sofa watching Downtown Abbey are some of my beloved dates of the week! I may sound silly, but sometimes I look back at the last three years and think how great the little moments are, those are the ones I remember. Time is going really fast and it does actually scare me to my very soul! But along with my boring nine to five job I have had to let my creative juices flow so this blog is just a little collection of my thoughts, big or small! I wear my heart on my sleeve and i love to dream.

After doing a feature on Danny Roberts the fashion illustrator i have become a bit obsessed with his work. The fantastic detail in and style is really quite lovely! I love these covers he has done of various fashion mags i really enjoy looking at covers that have been copied by illustration.

Love this cover of October's Harpers Bazaar, amazing image and enjoy the various font sizes!

Still love her since day one..

Since day one her music has been so touching and honest. I just love her in this film, there's something so real and so endearing about Adele, she wears her heart on her sleeve and I love every track she produces, especially Someone like You, everyone can relate to this situation and I just think its a gorgeous track.

PLUS! absolutely loving her in the new issue of Vogue, wow what a stunner, shes real shes curvy and she is just so real! Amazing :)

One of my favourite magazines in terms of design and creativity/concept is Frankie magazine. It's an australian bi-monthly aimed at women and men looking for a cute friendly curious read.
Beautiful design, simplicity, homemade and just adorable.

 

More Tea....
